What happens on an Opera stage?

Do you have to wear a suit or a long dress to go to the opera?

Why do singers take 10 minutes to die on stage?

These are just some of the questions that will be answered during the aperitif – without long dress or costume – which will be given in the courtyard of the Château de Fougères on September 2

3 musicians (a soprano, a clarinet and a piano) as well as a Ringmaster share with you the backstage of this lyrical show!

They take you on a discovery of the stage and the opera through a program chosen for you: the musical rarities will allow them to highlight an understanding of the professions of the stage, as for the great hits of the opera, they will complete this moment of sharing and dialogue with the public.

On the musical program for this (re)discovery:

Mozart (Non piu di Fiori, from Clemency of Titus)

Schubert (Romance of Hélène, excerpt from The Conjurers)

Gounod (O my Immortal Lyre, excerpt from Sapho)

Massenet (He is sweet, he is good, excerpt from Hérodiade)

Dvorak (Air to the Moon, excerpt from Rusalka)

Verdi/Liszt (Paraphrase on Rigoletto)

Mahler (on an extract from the 4th symphony: Das himmlische Leben)

and of course, a Rossini, and not the least:

Introduction, Theme and Variations, to the tune of Malcolm Oh quante lacrime, from La Donna del Lago.
